Kumarakom is an enchanting backwater tourist destination in Kerala, India. It is a quaint little hamlet of tiny islands 85 kilometers from Kochi International Airport and 12 Kms from Kottayam. It is popularly known as the rice bowl of Kerala.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Cochin / Munnar (135 km / 4 hrs): Assistance upon arrival at Cochin then transferred to Munnar. Having arrived in the afternoon, check in at the hotel and relaxation for the day. Evening at leisure. There is overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: In Munnar : Today after breakfast enjoy full day sight seeing trip of Munnar; visiting Eravikulam National Park where you can see the very rare mountain goats locally called the Nilgiri Tahr, the Mattupetty Dam & Dairy Farm, old Munnar Town and market etc. Rest of the day at leisure. There is overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: Munnar – Kumarakom (190 km / 5 hrs): Today after breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Kumarakom. Having arrived in the afternoon, check in at hotel / resort. Rest of the day free for own activities. There is overnight stay at hotel / resort.

Day 4: Kumarakom – Cochin (95 km / 2.5 hrs): This morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel then transfer to Cochin. Having arrived in the afternoon, check in at hotel then sight seeing for the day visiting Dutch palace, St. Francis church, Jewish Synagogue and Chinese fishing nets etc. Rest of the day free at leisure. There is overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5: Depart Cochin: Today enjoy your leisurely breakfast then check out from the hotel in the afternoon and to the railway station / airport for your onward journey. The trip ends.
