There is a famous bungalow built by Mr. Abbot, in 1914, amidst dense forests of oak and deodar at this beautiful place that is named after its founder John Harold Abbott. At present it consists magnificent colonial bungalows of British Raj era. It is an ideal destination for nature lovers who prefer non-touristy, peaceful and calm exclusive holidays. This place is also visited by enthusiasts of popular Mahaseer fishing at the confluence of Saryu and Mahakali rivers. You may comfortably stay here for many days at a stretch once exposed to its charms.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Delhi – Mukteshwar (350 km / 8 hrs): Assistance upon arrival in Delhi at Railway Station/Airport then drive to Mukteshwar enroute visiting Bhimtal and Naukuchiyatal. Having arrived Mukteshwar, check in hotel and relaxation for the day. Evening at leisure. Dinner at hotel and overnight stay.

Day 2: In Mukteshwar: Today after breakfast enjoy full day sightseeing at Mukteshwar visiting Mukteshwar Temple and Chauli ki Jali etc. In the evening enjoy sun set view while at leisure then return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Mukteshwar – Abbot Mount (140 km / 6 hrs): Today after early breakfast drive to Abbot Mount enroute visiting Maa Barahi Temple Devedhura, then lunch on the way. In the evening arrive Abbot Mount to check in at hotel. Having freshened up, sightseeing for the rest of the day visiting local sights. In the evening back to the hotel to have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Abbot Mount – Pithoragarh (110 km / 5 hrs): Today morning after early breakfast transfer to Pithoragarh visiting Champawat on the way. Having arrived Pithoragarh by the evening check in at the hotel. Having freshened up, sightseeing for the rest of the day, back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Pithoragarh – Munshyari (130 km / 5 hrs): This day after breakfast drive to Munshyari enroute visiting local sights. Having arrived Munsiyari in the evening check in at hotel then local sight seeing. Enjoy evening view of sun set, dinner at hotel and overnight stay.

Day 6: In Munshyari: Today after breakfast enjoy full day sightseeing in Munsiyari and around then back to hotel for lunch. Evening at leisure to enjoy sun set point. There is overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7: Munshyari – Choukori (95 km / 4 hrs): Today after breakfast drive to Choukori visiting local sights on the way. Having arrived Choukori in the afternoon check in at hotel then sight seeing for the rest of the day enjoying beautiful Himalayas from close range. In the evening dinner at hotel and overnight stay.

Day 8: Choukori – Kausani (125 km/ 5 hrs): This day after breakfast drive to Kausani visiting Patal Bhuvaneshwar cave temple on the way. Having arrived Kausani in the evening check in hotel then visit Gandhi Ashram (Annashakti Ashram) and beautiful Himalaya view till sunsets. Dinner at hotel and overnight stay.

Day 9: In Kausani: Today early morning visit mesmerizing sunrise from the viewpoint then return hotel for breakfast then sight seeing for the day visiting Tea Garden, Tea factory and Bajnath Dham etc. Evening at leisure. Dinner at hotel and overnight stay.

Day 10: Kausani – Corbett National Park (190 km / 6hrs): This day after breakfast, drive from Kasauni to Corbett National Park visiting Ranikhet sights on the way then transfer to Corbett National Park. Having arrived in evening, check in at hotel and relaxation for the day. Dinner at hotel and overnight stay.

Day 11: Corbett – Delhi (280 km/ 7hrs): Today morning enjoy Jeep Safari at Corbett National Park followed by visit to Garjiya Temple and Corbett Museum etc. After that back to the hotel for check out then transfer to Delhi Railway Station / Airport for next destination. The trip ends.

Mukteshwar is a small tourist town in Nainital, Uttarakhand, India. It is located in Kumaon Hills at an altitude of 2286 meters/ 7500 feet. It is situated 51 km from Nainital, 72 km from Haldwani and 395 km from Delhi. This destination consists breathtaking view of the Himalayas and Nanda Devi, India’s second-highest peak It had been a favorite holiday destination of British that still has old colonial bungalows and famous Veterinary Institute set up by them. This quiet hamlet is also associated with a legend of lord Shiva who granted immortality or mukti to a demon that he killed at this spot. An old temple of Lord Shiva still exists on the top of a rock.

Munsiyari is a quaint hamlet situated in one of the uppermost part of Kumaon region in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand India. It is located in the base of the great Himalayan range at an altitude of 2200 mts above sea level on the banks of Goriganga River. It is a new discovery as a tourist place in India, till recently it was a restricted area in inner Himalayan line between borders of India, China and Nepal, restrictions have eased now. It is a beautiful hill station that is referred to a ”place with snow” also. It is ideal place for tourists who are interested to visit less touristy places along with mountaineers, glacier enthusiasts, high altitude trekkers and nature lovers.

Chaukori is a tiny hill station in the Pithoragarh district set among the lofty peaks of western Himalayan Range in Kumaon Uttarakhand, India. Tibet is at its North and South at Terai. The Mahakali River running along its eastern boundary forms the Indo-Nepal international border. It is an amazing mountain resorts amidst Kumaoun Himalayas. It is the perfect destination to enjoy important Himalayan peaks as Nanda Devi, Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, Trishul, Panchchuli and Nanda Kot.

Kausani is set at an altitude of 6075 ft (1890 MT), located 120 km from Nainital. It is a picturesque hill station famous for its scenic beauty and spectacular 300 km- panoramic views of the Himalayas. It lies atop the ridge amidst dense Pine trees overlooking Someshwar valley on one side and Garur and Baijnath Katyuri valley on the other. Mahatma Gandhi called this place the ‘Switzerland of India’, due to similarity in landscape.

Pithoragarh is situated in the Himalayas at an altitude of 1,851 meter. This lesser known part of Kumaon is very picturesque and often referred to as ‘Mini Kashmir’. It borders with Nepal and Tibet. Mountaineers, botanists, religious and adventure tourists visit this beautiful hill district. There are many rivers originate from Pithoragarh mountains that provide enough scope of water sports.

Corbett National Park is the first wildlife reserve of India, extending over an area of more than 500 sq km in the Himalayan foothills. It was established in 1936 in the honor of legendary hunter-turned conservationist Jim Corbett, best known for hunting man-eating tigers and leopards. The visitors come here mainly to see tigers. The present area of the Corbett Park is 1318.54 sq. km. including 520 sq. km. of core area of and 797.72 sq. km. of buffer area.
